Our Founders’ Story:

The Heart of Seeds of Life

I’m Heidi Wiltshire, and alongside my husband Pete, we founded SeedsOfLife, Australia’s first certified-organic, grain-free bakery, in 2015.

Our journey began in our Gold Coast kitchen, born from personal health challenges and a passion for creating wholesome, allergy-friendly foods that let everyone savour life’s moments without compromise. At Seeds of Life, every product reflects our unwavering commitment to integrity, quality, and nourishment.

From Health Struggles to a New Mission In 2013, our lives changed dramatically. I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases, triggering severe food allergies and sensitivities that made eating a daily challenge. Sharing meals with loved ones became a distant memory. Meanwhile, Pete has faced insulin resistance, a risk factor for diabetes.

Store-bought foods often didn’t align with our needs—packed with grains, gluten, refined sugars, or preservatives that clashed with our health goals.

Determined to reclaim our wellbeing, we embraced a paleo lifestyle and began experimenting with nutrient-dense, wholefood ingredients like activated seeds, banana flour, cassava, and prebiotic-rich superfoods such as cacao, beetroot, and turmeric.

Our kitchen became a haven where we crafted breads, snacks, and desserts that were safe, delicious, and nourishing. When friends and family couldn’t get enough of our creations, we saw an opportunity to fill a gap in the market for truly inclusive foods.

Building SeedsOfLife with Integrity In 2015, we launched SeedsOfLife with a clear mission: to empower people with dietary restrictions—whether coeliac, vegan, or simply health-conscious—to enjoy food that fuels both body and soul.

With both our backgrounds in marketing and our relentless drive, we built a brand rooted in authenticity.

From our Gold Coast base, we began offering certified-organic premixes for home bakers and shipping baked goods across Australia, ensuring accessibility for all.

At the core of SeedsOfLife is our commitment to product integrity. We create organic, free from gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, yeast, refined sugars, and preservatives. We meticulously source Australian bio-dynamic flours and ingredients whenever possible, prioritising sustainability and traceability.

Our recipes are crafted to deliver maximum nutrition without sacrificing flavour—think nutrient-packed breads that support gut health, raw desserts bursting with superfoods, and premixes that make wholesome baking effortless. We use activated seeds to enhance digestibility and prebiotic ingredients to nourish your body’s natural balance. Each product is a labor of love, rigorously tested to ensure it meets our high standards for taste, texture, and health benefits.
